“The First Italian-Dutch Dictionary 1672-2014”, edited by Vincenzo Lo Cascio, professor emeritus in Italian linguistics at the University of Amsterdam, has been presented at the same University. The work is the fruit of Professor Lo Cascio’s research on “Italiaansche Spraakkonst”, the first Italian grammar produced in Italian and dating from 1672.
As the Italian Ambassador to The Hague, Francesco Azzarello, observed, the work bears witness to the extraordinary vitality of Italian-Dutch bilateral cultural relations. The presentation was organised by the Italian Embassy, which also sponsored the publication, in collaboration with the University of Amsterdam. Read more, in Italian
