The Italian EU Presidency concluded in Stockholm with a performance by Stefano Bollani. The great Italian jazz musician received an enthusiastic response from the audience of 300 guests from political, diplomatic and business spheres.
Great cultural events
Speaking before the audience, Italian ambassador Elena Basile thanked the Swedish and Italian firms that had made the cultural events of these months possible. These events, she explained “had in common the presentation of lesser known aspects of our country, different from those by now widely acclaimed and further from the classic heritage and artistic patrimony that has made Italy, and Made in Italy, so famous everywhere”. Basile also spoke about the priorities of the Italian presidency and underscored the results achieved. In particular, she cited the “more balanced vision achieved regarding the stability and growth pact, with the new emphasis on investments and fighting unemployment, of which the Juncker Plan is important evidence”.
