U.S.: Major acknowledgement for Italian language

The United States’ CollegeBoard, a non-profit organisation that every year helps more than seven million students prep for college admission, gave a boost to efforts to promote the Italian language in the U.S. by committing to support funding for the continued inclusion of Italian among the Advanced Placement (AP) programme language exams. Italian ambassador to Washington Claudio Bisogniero commented: “this is an achievement of strategic importance that endorses Italian language promotion within the framework of the AP programme, and is authoritative acknowledgement of the impact that the joint efforts of the foreign ministry, this embassy and the consular network have had on the dissemination of our language in the United States of America”.
