“Experiences and analyses of natural threats in Central America, Guatemala, El Salvador and Nicaragua”, is the title of a handbook recently presented in El Salvador with the goal of offering scientific support for the implementation of a national risk management policy and of an integrated Central American policy for risk management through support for the prevention and management of natural threats. Sectors in which academic research, cooperation and the transfer of knowhow take on a strategic and fundamental role. During the presentation of the handbook, a ceremony took place for the award of 27 Masters in Natural Disaster Risk Assessment offered by the University of Palermo and co-financed by the Farnesina’s Directorate General for Development Cooperation (DGCS).
