Jan Karski was a Polish resistance fighter who escaped the Warsaw ghetto and in 1943 told Churchill and Roosevelt of the horrors of the Shoah. Two Italian illustrators, Marco Rizzo and Lelio Bonaccorso have now told his story, in graphic novel form. Their book, “Jan Karski. L’uomo che scoprì l’olocausto”, will be presented on Monday 16 February in Warsaw (Audytorium Jana Nowaka-Jeziorańskiego, ul. Grzybowska 79). The event is supported by the Alter publishing house in collaboration with the Italian Cultural Institute in Warsaw and the Polish Institute in Rome. Read more, in Italian.
