“Storia di Siena. Dalle origini ai giorni nostri” (Edizioni Biblioteca dell’Immagine, 2013), written by Prof. Mario Ascheri of Roma Tre University, is a history of the city of Siena. The author will hold a conference at the Umberto Agnelli Auditorium of the Italian Cultural Institute of Tokyo entitled “Siena, a Medieval City-State and its Heritage”, at 18:30 on 19 March, which will aim to shed light on the history of that Tuscan city, famous for its immense historic, artistic and natural patrimony.
