Italian firm Ferrero presented its fifth report on social responsibility in business at Palazzo Venezia in Istanbul to 150 guests who included Ferrero in Turkey president Carlo Marsili, country manager Azmi Gumusluoglu and supply director Stefano Gagliasso. Ferrero is looking with special attention to Turkey, one of the Italian food group’s priority markets, chiefly for the supply of its products’ main ingredient : hazelnut. Indeed, Turkey accounts for approximately 70% of world hazelnut production, with its half million growers and world leader in cultivation, processing and marketing of the product, the Oltan Group, which was recently purchased by Ferrero.
