Algerian-born Italian author Amara Lakhous, whose critically acclaimed novel “Scontro di civiltà per un ascensore a Piazza Vittorio”, from which a film was also made, will be lecturing from 30 September to 4 October in Montreal and Quebec. The lectures have been organised by the Italian Cultural Institute of Montreal in collaboration with other institutions. The author will be at the Italian Cultural Institute on Thursday October 1st at 18:30 for an encounter moderated by Prof. Elena Benelli, co-author with Grace Russo Bullaro of “Shifting and Shaping a National Identity”.
