The Italian Cultural Institute of New York has organised an event for Monday 14 September dedicated to the Italian silent film masterpiece “Assunta Spinta” at 100 years from its production, with the Ensemble Dissonanzen providing the live soundtrack of the film directed and starring, among others, silent film diva Francesca Bertini, and produced a full 20 years before the birth of the Cinecittà film studios.
