Roadshow in Novara for internationalisation of Italian businesses

Novara is hosting the next stage in the road show – the 24th session, on 14 October 2015 – for the Internationalisation of Italian Businesses. The event will provide an opportunity for representatives of the public institutions, private business associations and key players from the financial community to meet. The Roadshow is promoted and supported by the Farnesina and the Ministry for Economic Development (MISE). The Novara session was organised by ICE-Italian Trade Agency in collaboration with the eastern Piedmont branch of Confartigianato Imprese, the local partner for the roadshow.

The format includes an introductory session led by the Under-Secretary for Foreign Affairs, Benedetto Della Vedova, and the President of Confartigianato Imprese Piemonte Orientale, Michele Giovanardi. This will be followed by a technical session where representatives of the institutional and financial communities illustrate the instruments and strategies available to support businesses in global markets. The session will also include internationalisation success stories.

The afternoon session will provide an opportunity for business people to meet representatives of all the organisations present, include the MISE and the Farnesina, ICE, SACE and SIMEST, the Chamber of Commerce, the Regional government, Confindustria, Rete Imprese Italia and Alleanza delle Cooperative.

During the B2B meetings, ICE experts will analyse individual businesses to draw up a customised market strategy. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs takes an active part in Roadshow initiatives. The project was launched in 2014 to illustrate the public support instruments available to companies with a potential for expansion abroad that to date has not been fully exploited and to assist them in approaching foreign markets. The aim is to help 22,000 companies begin their internationalisation process by the end of 2015.

For entrepreneurs, the programme for each stage of the Roadshow includes targeted individual meetings with experts from participating organisations to identify the most interesting markets for each and the steps to take to launch their international activity. The sessions also include presentations on the support instruments available from the Farnesina, ICE, SACE and SIMEST.
