Berlin – “Depicting a city”, Staino on the German capital

Sia Saino is one of Italy’s best known and loved satiric artists, whose most famous character – Bobo – has been known to the Italian public since the early 1970s as the artist’s alter-ego appeared for the first time on the pages of “Linus”. The artist will be a guest at the Italian Cultural Institute of Berlin on 17 November (19:00) for “Political satire in Italy today”, moderated by Sabina Magnani von Petersdorff, and for the opening of an exhibition of drawings from the cycle “Berlino amore mio, disegnare una città”. The cycle features an itinerant Bobo exploring the city of Berlin in 1981, a year of great urban and cultural expansion despite its location at the heart of European Communism. Read more, in Italian.
