Seven Italo-Australian virgin olive oil producers faced off in Melbourne for the “Grande Olio d’Oliva 2015” competition. All participants use Italian machinery to ensure the high quality of a product through which they seek to maintain their ties with Italy. The jury chose the Trovatello family, originally from the city of Nicastro in the province of Catanzaro, whose 8,000-tree grove is located in the picturesque area of the Macedon Ranges north of Melbourne.
