Moscow – Homage to Dante, Placido and Konchalovsky

Dante Alighieri as a bridge between cultures and a meeting point for two internationally renowned artists. In Moscow, Michele Placido and the Russian director Andrei Konchalovsky held an evening dedicated to Dante’s Inferno, focusing on the characters of Ulysses and the lovers Paolo and Francesca, at the Elektroteatr Stanislavski. The event, part of the celebrations for the750th anniversary of Dante’s birth and the 15th Italian Language in the World Week, took place under the high patronage of the President of the Italian Republic. Organised by the Italian Cultural Institute and Consulate General in Moscow, the event was conceived by the Institute’s new director, Olga Strada, and Placido himself. Read more, in Italian.
