Peru – Focus on “The Gaze of the Gods”

“The Gaze of the Gods. Observing the Andean heritage from space”. That’s the title of an exhibition curated by Nicola Masini, Alvaro Higueras and Rosa Lasaponara and organised with the patronage of the Italian Cultural Institute. The exhibition, which runs in Lima from 16 October to 15 November 2015, will examine the protection and management of the cultural heritage using the most advanced satellite observation technology. It is a contribution from Italian research to the exploration of Peru’s pre-Hispanic past, with input from the National Research Council and the Italian Scientific Mission for Heritage Conservation and Archaeogeophysics (ITACA).
