Lebanon – Italian artists at the Beirut Chants Festival

Giacomo Puccini’s “Messa di Gloria” opened the Beirut Chants Festival being held in the Lebanese capital through 23 December. Conducted by Toufic Maatouk, the Orchestra Giovanile Mediterranea of Palermo was accompanied by the choruses of the Antonina University and the Notre Dame University of Louaizé. A total of 36 Italian artists – the 32 musicians of the Orchestra Giovanile, two soloists, one first violin and an orchestra conductor – will perform in various of the Festival’s 30 planned concerts, all to be held in Beirut.
