Paris – “The Rules of Vision” exhibition by Luca Campigotto on show

The Italian Cultural Institute in Paris will open its activities for 2016 on Tuesday, Jan. 5 with the inauguration of a photographic exhibition by Luca Campigotto. The exhibition, “The rules of vision”, will be inaugurated in the presence of François Hébel, art director of the first edition of the Grand Paris Photography Month 2017, and Walter Guadagnini, historian of photography. Born in Venice in 1962, Luca Campigotto is one of the most interesting photographers of his generation and is at his first exhibition in the French capital. Twenty-six large-format photographs will be on display: 10 depicting Imperial Roman architecture and 16 showing World War I sites. Hebel describes his work as “a feline approach, a selective vision, beautiful and brutal”, while historian of photography Walter Guadagnini stresses “the romantic inclination of a voyage full of nostalgia”. The exhibition will run until Feb. 26.
