Stockholm – Books, Giuseppe Cassini presents “17ᵃ agency. America at the crossroads “

A diplomat and writer in Sweden. The Italian Embassy, with the Italian Institute of Culture in Stockholm, has organised the presentation of the latest book by Giuseppe Cassini entitled “17ᵃ Agency. America at the crossroads: recover or sever the glorious pre-imperial origins”. The book is in three parts that, while different in style, are all aimed at providing a careful and original analysis of a country that is “less known than you think”. The presentation is on Monday, March 7 to 18 at the headquarters of the Italian Institute of Culture. The author and the Italian Ambassador, Elena Basile, will take to the floor for the presentation. Giuseppe Cassini is a former Italian diplomat who has worked in Belgium, Algeria, Cuba, the United States, Geneva, Somalia and has served as ambassador to Lebanon. He is author of “The years of decline: The foreign policy of the Berlusconi government” (2001-06) and the e-book “That ‘stupid’ war in Iraq,” and writes regularly for Italian newspapers and occasionally for the “Daily Star of Beirut” and the “Christian Science Monitor” in Boston.
