New York – Art, on show the visionary world of Verdiana Patacchini

In the visionary world of Verdiana Patacchini, any work of art becomes a continuous research and converts into a poetic and imaginary vision. Umbrian of birth and Roman of adoption, during the past few years Verdiana, also known as “Virdi”, has lived between Italy and the United States, where her works are greatly appreciated. The exhibition “Unconscious Mind”, which is due to open on March 17 at the Italian Consulate General in New York, will display her anthropomorphous images evoking figures and writings. In this exhibition, curated by Roberta Buldini (Emmeotto Arte), the artist transforms her perception of reality in pictorial images through a mixed technique that focuses on the quality of the stroke, the colour and the matter and that does not represent objects as they are but evokes the artist’s own artistic visions or “absolutes”, as Verdiana defines them. “I am fascinated by a primitive vision of the world, in which research on the quality of the stroke, colour and matter instinctively reveals the images,” said Virdi. “And as imagination feeds on reality, everything that surrounds me inspires my work,” she added.
