Manila – Italy-Philippines, internationalisation at a click

Technology can help conquer foreign markets with a simple click on the mouse. The option was offered in a webinar devoted to the Philippines on April 20, organised by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, the Unioncamere Emilia-Romagna, the Forlì-Cesena Chamber of Commerce, the Italian Embassy in Manila and Casa Artusi.  Thanks to a web link and a live transmission facility connected to Casa Artusi in Forlimpopoli, more than 90 companies were briefed on the business opportunities offered by the Asian country which counts almost 100 million inhabitants, ranking it the twelfth most populated country in the world, an annual per capita GDP of more than 3,500 dollars and a yearly growth rate of 6%. During the webinar Filipino buyers, representatives of trade associations and importers interested in working with Italy provided information on market opportunities and potential, distribution channels and customs tariffs and regulations. At the end of the event, officials of the Italian Foreign Ministry met with representatives of the companies operating on the territory in order to illustrate the Italian economic diplomacy services and activities available. The event is part of the “Internationalisation at a click” project developed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Unioncamere Emilia-Romagna to facilitate information updates on foreign markets.
