A single Festival will feature the whole wealth of European jazz. Berlin will again host the “My Unique Jazz Festival” from 13 to 21 May. In addition to featuring musicians from more than 14 European Countries, this year’s edition will be co-organised by 13 European Institutes of Culture and embassies belonging to the network of EUNIC (European Union National Institutes for Culture) in Berlin. Now at its third edition, the event will be hosted at Berlin’s Kunstfabrik Schlot and will feature jazz bands which will perform their own compositions and popular pieces from their Countries of origin, thus combining roots, dialects and new musical projects. The Festival, whose art director is Italian jazz composer Andrea Marcelli, is organised, inter alia, with the support of the Embassy of the Republic of Lithuania, the Embassy of the Republic of Malta, the Embassy of the Republic of Cyprus, the Embassy of Portugal, the DAAD (Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst) and the Italian Institute of Culture in Berlin.
