Competition: “Article 9 of the Constitution: active citizenship for landscapes and the environment”

The 4th edition of the audio-video and photographic competition entitled “Article 9 of the Constitution. Active Citizenship for Landscapes and the Environment” was closed today at the Senate. At the proposal off the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, the competition, which was promoted by the Ministry of Education, Universities and Research (MIUR), the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities and Tourism (MIBACT) and the Benetton Foundation for Studies and Research, in association for this edition with the Ministries of Defence and of the Environment, was also extended to Italian schools abroad that are supported by the Foreign Ministry’s network of Italian Embassies and Consulates.

During the ceremony, a special mention was addressed to the Italian State School in Barcelona for the photograph dedicated to the “Landscapes of Memory: Plaça Sant Felip Neri”, which was bombed during the Spanish Civil War. The event, which was attended by the President of the Senate, Pietro Grasso, also screened a video by the students of the Italian School in Barcelona.
