Concomitantly to the opening of Chapters 23 and 24 of Serbia’s EU accession negotiations, the Italian Embassy in Belgrade has programmed the screening of two films on the contribution made to protect Serbian minors by Italy’s Development Cooperation by financing two projects implemented by the Emilia Romagna Region and by UNICEF. The event is also organized by the Italian Cultural Institute, where it will hosted on 19 July. The first screening is scheduled at 4:30 p.m. with “La storia di un dialogo tra comunità” (“The Story of a Dialogue between Communities”), a film linked to the “Institutional Reinforcement of Social Services” project; at 5 p.m. the screening will continue with a film explaining the project to “Support the deinstitutionalization of children in the Serbian Republic, especially disabled children”. The projects aim to improve the living conditions of minors in Serbia and to increase the Institutions’ capacity to act in favour of minors through the introduction of innovative policies and services and by encouraging the administrative decentralization of social services.
