“Pesci fuor d’acqua” (“Fish out of Water”) is the title of the exhibition by Angela Barusi, that the Italian Cultural Institute (IIC) in Barcelona will open to the public from 20 September to 11 October. A presentation note posted on the IIC’s website reads: “The artist’s long creative process evolved over a period of 20 years, spanning from the subjective meanders of a soul-searching painting, to the crudeness of materials and ultimately to abstract landscapes and her airy works on paper.”
Her creativity was discretely kept aloof from the world of art until now, when she has decided to re-establish a contact with the general public through this exhibition of her watercolours which focuses on a sole subject: “Fish out of Water”.
