Farnesina Verde – Environment: 5th Forum on Green Embassies

Yesterday, 22 September 2016, the Mexican Embassy in Rome hosted the 5th Green Embassies Forum (Foro delle Ambasciate Verdi – FOAV) on “Climate Change and Innovation”, organised by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and international Cooperation (MAECI) in conjunction with the Embassies of Mexico and Costa Rica. The Forum, chaired by the Mexican Ambassador to Italy, Juan José Guerra Abud, was attended by MAECI officials, representatives of the embassies located in Rome, of the World Food Program, MATTM, the MiSE, FEDERESCO and the Italo-Latino Americano Institute. Almost one year after the signing of the Paris agreement on climate change, the Forum created an opportunity to debate global warming, climate change and the link between energy transition and technological innovation. Furthermore, as in past editions, the FOAV also made it possible to share environmentally-friendly initiatives aimed at making workplaces more eco-friendly, including a project co-developed with FEDERESCO to make the Farnesina building more energy efficient.
