An important section of the XXII Athens International Film Festival will be dedicated to Italian Cinema. The festival, running through October 2, will host the “Italian Film Days” organized in cooperation with StraDa Films and the contribution of the Italian Embassy in Athens, the Italian Cultural Institute and Istituto Luce Cinecittà. The Festival, first established in 1995, will screen some of the best Italian films of the year at Danaos 1, Ideal and Pallas theatres.
The programme will feature, among others, “L’Attesa” by Pierro Messina, Claudio Giovannesi’s “Fiore”, Edoardo De Angelis’ “Indivisibili”, “Suburra” by Stefano Sollima and Paolo Virzi’s “La pazza gioia” (Like Crazy). The Festival can count on 50,000 movie fans who are interested in discovering the latest trends from around the world and enjoy highly successful films.
