The Italian Cultural Institute in Dublin has announced a public meeting with Italian writer Stefano Benni at The Sugar Club on Wednesday, 14 September. Stefano Benni is regarded as one of Italy’s most important writers: his signature combination of social satire and magical realism has turned all his novels into best-sellers. His works include “Bar Sport”, “La compagnia dei Celestini”, “Il bar sotto il mare” and the widely-known “Margherita Dolce Vita”. He has also written numerous essays, poems, and anthologies. He currently lives in Rome.
