Belgium – TechItaly 2016 focuses on “Circular Economy”

TechItaly 2016 “Circular economy”, an exhibition to showcase Italy’s latest technological innovations in different sectors, from the aerospace industry to meeting global challenges, will be held in Brussels on 29 and 30 November. This annual event – which started in 2012 – is organized by the Italian Embassy and the Italian Cultural Institute (IIC) in Brussels and the Italian Trade Agency (ICE), in close cooperation with the Permanent Representation of Italy to the EU, Italy’s National Research Council (CNR), ENEA, the Italian National Agency for New technologies, Energy and Sustainable economic development, Confindustria and the Belgian-Italian Chamber of Commerce. The programme will open on 29 November with a conference at the European Parliament on the “Circular Economy” and on Italy’s contribution in this area. At the conference the “L’Italia del Riciclo 2016” report will be presented together with some of the best practices applied by industries and research centres. On November 30 a workshop will bring together representatives of Italian and Belgian companies, research centres and universities, with a view to increasing or establishing partnerships and joint initiatives on innovative and sustainable projects, especially in the fields of waste management, energy, building and construction, textiles and plastics, and “green” metal and chemical products. The meeting will wind up with a B2B session between the SMEs of both nations.
