The best of Italian wine and food products will be on the menu of a gala dinner Slow Food Serbia with the collaboration of the Metropol Palace Hotel and the Italian Cultural Institute will host this evening in Belgrade. ‘A Taste of Culture’ is meant to celebrate Italy’s creativity and wine and food culture. Massimo Rossi, a chef from Arezzo, will offer he participants the pleasure of enjoying his skilfully prepared selection of dishes combining Italy’s best tastes to create real culinary masterpieces. The gala dinner will be a real experiential journey through four courses carefully paired with Tuscan organic wines of the “Gabriele Mazzeschi” winery. The spotlight will be on Slow Food presidia.
Dinner will start with cocktails first, which will be served with delicious appetizers. These include crunchy ‘panzanella’ and an Atlantic bonito from Orbetello,Tarese del Valdarno rolls with Certaldo onion skins, a cream of Lucca red beans with chopped soprassata of Monte and Pistoia Mountain pecorino. They will be followed by a boiled-non-boiled Maremmana beef with a celery leaf pesto and a roasted capocollo with cabbage in a blackberry vinegar marinade. Next will be pappardelle with white Chianina ragu’ sauce, followed by a pork shin in an orange sauce with a skewer of laurel-flavoured potatoes. An apple pie made with Valdichiana rusty apples will be the perfect conclusion to the evening.
