Albania – Tomorrow Tirana will host a presentation of the Associazione Albalaureati

Tomorrow Tirana will host the presentation of the Associazione Albalaureati, based on an idea by five Albanian professionals who, after graduating from Italy’s best universities, returned to their home country with a view to contributing to its development. The Associazione was established thanks to the support of the Italian Embassy in Tirana and the Idis Foundation.
The main goal of the Associazione, which has reached a membership of over 200 in just a few days,is to establish a network of professionals – a excellence hub designed to promote and support projects benefiting Albania, especially along the path towards its accession to the European Union. The Italian Ambassador, Alberto Cutillo, who has always believed in the original idea and supported the establishment of an association gathering all young professionals who successfully graduated from Italian academic institutions, has  granted the Associazione the patronage of the  Italian Embassy, wishing it to be yet another tool Italy offers to support Albania on its way to the  accession. Italy and Albania have long been linked by profound historical, cultural and economic ties.
The event will take place at the Plaza Hotel in Tirana in the presence of the Albanian Minister of Education, Lindita Nikolla, Ambassador Cutillo, a representation of the rectors of Albania’s public and private universities and the Associazione’s over two hundred members. On that occasion, Professor Lucia Nadin, historian, writer and researcher who is an expert in the historical and cultural ties between Italy and Albania, will host participants in a lectio magistralis on the influence the Italian higher education system had from the Middle Ages to the XXth cent.
