The event “Recounting Venice: Six Contemporary Writers Grapple with the ‘Serenissima’” will be held in Paris on Tuesday 22 November at the Italian Cultural Institute. Every year MEET (Maison des Écrivains Et Traducteurs) organizes the Saint-Nazaire International literary meeting, which invites two cities and their writers to talk about their towns. The literary director of the festival, writer Patrick Deville, has selected Warsaw and Venice for this year’s edition. The two editors of the event proposed some pages taken from the books of the most significant contemporary writers. The texts are published in the bilingual journal simply called Venise/Varsovie. The guests for the evening will be: the editor of the Venetian section, writer Roberto Ferrucci, together with Mauro Covacich, J.A. Gonzalez Sainz, Simonetta Greggio, Tiziano Scarpa and Patrick Deville.
