United States – Andrew Viterbi guest at the Italian Cultural Institute

Andrew James Viterbi is an Italian engineer and entrepreneur naturalised American. Born in 1935, Viterbi is the co-founder of Qualcomm – one of the major communication companies in the world – and the inventor of the algorithm that bears his name, the groundwork of a large part of the mobile telephony. He will be hosted by the Italian Cultural Institute in New York on Wednesday, 14 December, from 6 to 8 p.m., to present his book “Reflections of an Educator, Researcher and Entrepreneur” (CPL Editions, Memoirs & Biographies series, 2016). In the book, the author tells the story of his life in the United States from the very beginning (he arrived in the U.S. with his family as a child) up to his success as a scientist and entrepreneur. The event will be moderated by journalist Maria Teresa Cometto.
