“The one who dances walks on water and into flames”, said Spanish poet and playwright Federico Garcia Lorca, surely moved by a form of communication capable of leaving everybody in awe. Paolo Mangiola, dancer, choreographer and professor who lives between Rome and London, knows this only too well. He has long practiced as a freelance all over Europe and, during his professional career, has danced for some of the world’s best contemporary dance companies. A contemporary dance performance, the fruit of the cooperation between Magiola and Croatian choreographer Stasa Zurovac, will be staged at Belgrade’s Mikser House.
Aja Jung’s National Dance Foundation, with the support of the Italian Cultural Institute in Belgrade, will present a performance tonight featuring the Foundation’s young dancers.
