Giampaolo Simi, whose latest novel, “Cosa resta di noi” (Sellerio), released in 2015 and the winner of the Premio Scerbanenco, the most prestigious national prize for noir fiction, will participate in a chat with Abheek Barua at the Noir Literature Festival that will be held in New Delhi from 27 to 29 January. The theme of the chat, promoted by the Italian Cultural Institute and the Oxford Bookstore, will be “The Weak Spot”. It will take place at the Oxford Bookstore (Connaught Place) at 12:30 p.m. on 28 January. Simi was born in Viareggio in 1965. In France, his novels are published by Gallimard Série Noire and Sonatine, and in Germany by Bertelsmann. He also writes scripts for Italian television: “L’ispettore Coliandro”, “Crimini” and “RIS”. His fist screenplay for a feature film was for “Luce del Nord”, directed by Stefano Sollima, which was selected among the best screenplays of 2010 in the European section of the Fiction Festival of La Rochelle. He contributes to newspapers and websites as film critic and journalist. He recently wrote two short stories for Artnews, a weekly cultural magazine published by RAI.
