Albania – 10 Nights of Italian Cinema kicks off in Tirana

Tirana will host the second edition of ’10 Notti di Cinema Italiano’ [’10 Nights of Italian Cinema’], which will take place over nine Tuesdays at the Reja installation of the National Gallery of Art. The films will be screened in Italian with subtitles in Albanian. Edoardo Falcone’s “Se Dio vuole” [God Willing] opened the initiative, which will continue on 6 June with Giacomo Campiotti’s “Bianca come il latte, rossa come il sangue” [White as Milk, Red as Blood], on 13 June with Gabriele Mainetti’s “Lo chiamavano Jeeg Robot” [They Call me Jeeg]. On 20 June the review will continue with Guido Chiesa’s “Belli di papa'” and on 27 June with Carlo Mazzacurati’s “La sedia della felicita” [The Chair of Happiness], followed by “Scusate se esisto” [Do You See Me?] by Riccardo Milani on 4 July and “Nessuno mi trovera” [Nobody Will Find Me] by Egidio Eronico on 11 July.  The event will continue with Marco Bellocchio’s film “Fai bei sogni” [Sweet Dreams] on 18 July, “Nuovo Cinema Paradiso” [Cinema Paradiso] by Giuseppe Tornatore on 25 July, and will close on 1st August with Alessia Scarso’s “Italo”. The event has been organised by the Italian Cultural Institute in conjunction with the Municipality of Tirana.
