The Director General for Italians Abroad and Migration Policies of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Luigi Maria Vignali, was invited to attend the National Forum “Protect, Shelter, Grow Together” organised by Save the Children, at Palazzo Marino in Milan.
The event represented an important opportunity for an in-depth analysis and debate on the theme of protecting foreign unaccompanied minors in Italy. Director-General Vignali specifically recalled the numerous initiatives to protect migrant minors, with a special focus on preventing and combating abuse and exploitation in the Countries of origin and transit of migration flows. Mr Vignali said that specific attention will be concentrated on the centrality of the Countries of transit in an important international conference organised at the Foreign Ministry next 6 July.
