Director General Vignali met with the Presidents of the Comites of the Consular District of Brussels and Genk (Raffaele Napolitano and Antonio Enna, respectively), the President of the Comites of Mons, Ezio D’Orazio, along with the members of the CGIE elected in Belgium (Eleonora Medda and Fernando Marzo) and the staff of the consular chancery. The mission to Brussels is part of a programme of visits to the major European Consular offices (in this case along with the Undersecretary of Foreign Affairs, Vincenzo Amendola, to London and Manchester on 2-5 June). They will focus on the proposals for the enhancement of consular services and assistance to our nationals, in order to assess the impact of the ‘new Italian migration’ abroad. The meeting consented to an analysis on Italians living in Belgium invited to leave the country, as well as on the most adequate level of consular services in the nation.
