Cologne: Readings from Dante at the Italian Cultural Institute

(11 July 2017) Dante Alighieri is a poet who is accessible to all and represents what it means to be Italian today, which is why he is so greatly admired across the world. Italian Cultural Institutes regularly promote exhibitions, readings, conferences, concerts and shows dedicated to the father of the Italian language. A monthly event of this kind is held in Cologne, always on Thursdays at 5:30 p.m., when Prof. Roellenbeck organises a reading of a canticle from the Divine Comedy. The event is promoted by the Friends of the Institute and new participants are always welcome. Following the event on 13 July, another reading is scheduled for 17 August.
