United States – Art, “Supernova” by Enrico Magnani at the Italian Cultural Institute

Dualism for science and mysticism. Created on materials using only the properties of water, air and pigments, without ever using hands, brushes or other instruments. This is the  “Supernova” collection by Italian artist Enrico Magnani, which will be showcased at the Italian Cultural Institute in Chicago from 7 September to 6 October. With his works, the artist seeks to call attention to the phenomenon and the consequences of the huge nuclear explosions that characterise the end of a star’s life -the Supernova. All the material released at the end of the explosion is at the origin of the formation of new stars. Thus, the supernova is a symbol of both death and rebirth, as well as the cyclical nature of the universe.
