On the 20th of October 2017 Italy celebrates the 7th edition of the Italian Statistics Day, promoted and organised by the Italian National Institute of Statistics and the Italian Statistical Society.
The celebration virtually dovetails with the World Statistics Day called by the United Nations General Assembly and coincides with the 2nd European Statistics Day, promoted by Eurostat in order to raise the awareness of European citizens on the value and importance of official statistics for our societies (“Better data. Better lives”).
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI) joins in the celebrations and tomorrow on its Website will publish a digital version of the “Statistical Yearbook 2017 – The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation in numbers”, an English-language statistical yearbook of the MAECI, offering citizens and institutions a large bulk of useful information to understand the type and contents of the work performed by the Ministry.
