Tonight the MAXXI will host the Opening Event of the Italy-Africa Conference

Tonight, the MAXXI will host the Opening Event of the second Italy-Africa Conference, scheduled for 25 October at the Farnesina. The event, to be opened by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Enzo Moavero Milanesi and by the President of the MAXXI Foundation, Giovanna Melandri, is dedicated to culture and will be attended by the members of the Delegations from African Countries and of International Organizations participating in the Conference.  

The event will include the presentation of ‘Italy, Cultures, Africa’, an integrated promotional programme launched by the Foreign Ministry to strengthen ties with the African Continent through a set of cultural projects and events to be implemented through 2019 to promote the cultural dialogue with Italy in different African settings.

Delegates will also have the opportunity to visit ‘African metropolis’, an extensive exhibition devoted to the African Continent that is the fruit of the cooperation between the Foreign Ministry and the MAXXI Museum.
