Steering Committee for Internationalisation – Extraordinary session for the attraction of foreign investment

On 20 April, from 15:00, an extraordinary session for the attraction of foreign investment of the Steering Committee for Internationalisation will be held, co-chaired by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Luigi Di Maio, and the Minister for Economic Development, Giancarlo Giorgetti. This is the first meeting of the Steering Committee dedicated specifically to attracting foreign direct investment (FDI) in support of Italy’s post-Covid-19 economic and employment growth. 

Besides the two co-chairs, the institutional session will also be attended by, among others: the Minister of Justice, Marta Cartabia; the Minister of Economy and Finance, Daniele Franco; the Minister of Agriculture, Food and Forestry Policies, Stefano Patuanelli; the Minister of Sustainable Infrastructure and Mobility, Enrico Giovannini; the Minister of Tourism, Massimo Garavaglia; the Minister of Technological Innovation and the Digital Transition, Vittorio Colao; the Minister of Regional Affairs and Autonomies, Mariastella Gelmini; the Minister of the South and Territorial Cohesion, Maria Rosaria Carfagna; the Undersecretary at the Ministry of Ecological Transition, Vannia Gava; the Undersecretary at the Ministry of Culture, Lucia Borgonzoni; the President of the Conference of Regions and Autonomous Provinces, Massimiliano Fedriga; the Chief of Cabinet  of the Minister of Public Administration, Marcella Panucci; the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Manlio Di Stefano.

The public entities supporting exports (including ICE, Cassa Depositi e Prestiti, SACE, SIMEST) and representatives of business and financial associations, as well as all the other signatories of the “Pact for Export” will also be taking part in the work of the Steering Committee.
