The contractors 3TI Progetti Italia SpA of Rome and ATI Project srl of Pisa have signed the contract for designing a new hospital in Tallinn, after being awarded, as a consortium, the recent international tender for the most economically advantageous bid of 17.5 million euros.
The Tallinn hospital project features the construction of a “city of medicine”, a complex of modern hospital buildings in the Northern part of the city, incorporating the two existing main hospitals into a single facility. The total cost of the new hospital is estimated at over half a billion euros (about 450 million for the infrastructure and 70 million for medical equipment and facilities).
In December 2018, 3TI Progetti Italia Spa had already won the tender launched by RB Rails AS for drafting guidelines for the architectural, landscape and visual design of an Estonian section of the Rail Baltica project, in partnership with SBS Engeneering Group.
