Turin-based INC SpA was adjudicated the contract to design, build, and be awarded a 30-year concession for the ring road around Belo Horizonte, the capital of the State of Minas Gerais: the Rodoanel Metropolitano de Belo Horizinte; 70 km possibly plus an additional 30 kms.
The tendering process, called by the Government of Minas Gerais last January through its Infrastructure Secretariat (SEINFRA), was adjudicated last 12 August at the Sao Paulo Stock Exchange and it is the biggest Public-Private Partnership (PPP) contract ever promoted by the State of Minas Gerais worth a total of approximately 1 billion euros.
The contract, won against top-level international competitors, is scheduled to be signed before the end of 2022.
