The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Antonio Tajani, opens the meeting  “Legal Diplomacy as driver of foreign policy. Combatting corruption and transnational organised crime. Italy’s commitment” (“La Diplomazia Giuridica come direttrice di politica estera. Il contrasto alla corruzione ed al crimine organizzato transnazionale. L’impegno dell’Italia”), organised by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation in collaboration with the Ministry of the Interior and the Ministry of Justice on the occasion of International Anti-Corruption Day. 

The event is also attended by the Minister of the Interior Matteo Piantedosi ad, via video link, by the Minister of Justice Carlo Nordio and Mathias Cormann, Secretary-General of the OECD. 

There will also be two panels featuring Riccardo Guariglia, Secretary General of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, and Chiara Colosimo, Chair of the Parliamentary Commission of Inquiry into the phenomenon of Mafia-type organisations, including foreign ones. 

Nicoletta Bombardiere, the Director General for Global Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, will conclude the meeting.
