Minister Tajani attends launch event of the 25th Italian Language Week in the World

The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Antonio Tajani, attended the launch event of the 25th Italian Language Week in the World.

The event, scheduled for today at the National Museum of 21st Century Arts (MAXXI) in Rome, will open with a musical introduction performed by students of the Accademia del Teatro alla Scala, followed by institutional greetings from the President of the MAXXI Foundation, Maria Emanuela Bruni.

In addition to Minister Tajani, speakers will include the President of the Società Dante Alighieri, Andrea Riccardi, and the Ambassador of Switzerland to Italy, Roberto Balzaretti. The institutional session will conclude with the screening of the promotional video of the Week of the Italian Language in the World.

The Italian Language Week in the World is the principal institutional event dedicated to the promotion of the Italian language. The event will provide an opportunity for reflection between institutions and civil society on the promotion of the Italian language and culture abroad, in view of the First International Conference on Italophonia, to be held on 19 November 2025.
