On Minister Giulio Terzi’s instructions, Ambassador to Addis Ababa Renzo Rosso has urgently requested a meeting with the Ethiopian Foreign Minister for the purpose of obtaining a complete and detailed account of the tragic episode in the Afar region, with particular regard for the eventual involvement of Italian citizens. The meeting will take place this morning. This was the announcement by the foreign ministry in Rome, whose Crisis Unit has activated all possible channels by which to monitor the situation.
