Deputy Foreign Minister Marta Dassù will make a visit from 21 to 24 June that will take her to St. Petersburg and Moscow. She will be taking part in the International Economic Forum in St. Petersburg, a platform for dialogue and encounter for Russian political leaders and prominent members of Italian and international economic, financial and industrial circles. She will also participate in a panel on food security. She will then hold a series of meetings.
On the Moscow leg of her trip, Marta Dassù is to meet with Deputy Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation Alexej Meshkov to discuss prospects for bilateral relations and the Italo-Russian Strategic Partnership, in fulfillment of agreements undertaken by Minister Bonino in Moscow and in her meeting with her counterpart Lavrov. Deputy Minister Dassù will also confront the theme of overall relations between the European Union and the Russian Federation within the framework of preparations for the Italian European Presidency (July-December 2014).
