“I was dismayed to learn of yet another attack against the Christian minority in Pakistan, a country where, sadly, massacres for religious reasons have occurred on several occasions in recent years”. This was Foreign Minister Emma Bonino’s comment from New York on hearing of the attack on Christians in Peshawar. Minister Bonino is in New York for the General Assembly of the United Nations.
“Italy has always been in the front line to protect religious minorities. Here in New York I will renew the appeal to all my international interlocutors to redouble their efforts to support the defence of religious freedom throughout the world”.
