Under-Secretary for Foreign Affairs Mario Giro expressed deep satisfaction for the willingness toward dialogue shown yesterday in Caracas by the government and Mesa de la Unidad (MUD) opposition representatives. On his latest mission to Venezuela from 2 to 4 April, the under-secretary had the opportunity, both with the ministers with whom he met as well as with the MUD coordinator, to underscore Italy’s strong support for the development of dialogue.
Italy will continue to lend its support to all the forces of the government and the opposition with a view to surmounting the difficulties, while continuing to ensure full support for UNASUR in its efforts to foster dialogue in Venezuela.
