Iraq: Mogherini sente Zebari, tutti Paesi dell’area abbiano ruolo positivo

Minister for Foreign Affairs Federica Mogherini held a long telephone call with her Iraqi opposite number Hoshyar Zebari who updated her on the situation in Iraq. Zebari confirmed the seriousness of the humanitarian crisis following the fighting in various parts of the country, and thanked Italy for the aid already earmarked. Mogherini expressed the hope that efforts to form a national unity government go forward and agreed on the need for the positive and constructive involvement not only of all parts of Iraq but also of all the countries of the region in finding a political settlement.
